2 Kings 5:1-17
Our lives are in many ways one great big story. One with characters, plots, and emotions.
I. The Importance of Elisha
- Up to this point he has been a public figure in the military venture of Israel in Chapter 3.
- In Chapter 4, in rapid succession he has supplied oil to a poverty-stricken widow so that she would not be devoured by her creditors.
- He has given a son to the Shunemite woman who wanted a son and had none.
- He has raised the dead son of that same woman.
- He has purified a pot of stew.
- He fed a hundred hungry people and had food left over.
II. The powerful is reduced to powerlessness (Naaman)
- The Generals track record.
- Naaman’s life suddenly turned upside down
- Seeks help from an enemy
- Folk remedies
- The historical significance of the Jordan
IV. A young girl
- The forgotten character in the story, yet outside of Yahweh, she is the most important.

On the Verge of a Miracle
Pastor Tim Maness
Sunday, July 20, 2008
John 5:1-8
The Place: Pool of Bethesda (House of Mercy)
The Plot: Helpless crippled man waiting for 38 years
I. Humanity will never save itself from affliction.
- Always one or two steps away from a miracle
- Never willing to push through
II. The Challenge is still the same today
- “Wilt thou be made whole?”
- Isaiah 1:18, Revelation 3:20
- Challenges should never be answered with an excuse.
- Others are not the cause of your condition
III. Deliverance will only take place after obedience
- “Rise take up thy bed and Walk”
- There will not be a spiritual awakening until we run out of excuses
- Obedience is a prerequisite for deliverance
- The hold up is not always God in his timing, sometimes it is you and I.
IV. Others will hinder and attempt to criticize
Get ready to be stirred. The time of wait is over.
Children’s Ministry
July 17, 2008
Our vision for the Children’s Ministry is to raise up Godly children. We have services on Sunday mornings for ages 3-5 and 6-12. Royal Rangers, a place for boys who are over the age of 5, and Girl’s Club, for girls ages 3-13 meet on Wednesday nights. In these smaller groups we are able to minister to and the children about Jesus, how to live a Godly life, and much, much more.

- Short term anointing
IV. Signs and Wonders Must be Backed by Spirit and Truth
- We are more than just a feel good church
- Success does not equal anointing
V. True Deliverance (Judges 16:28-31)
- True deliverance came with a cry
- One more time
